We went to the apple orchard today (the one mommy has been going to since she was in the second grade). It was kind of another FAIL. We knew we were going a bit late in the season but were hopeful they would still have plenty of "stuff" to see and do. WRONG....it wasn't because we were late tho...the place seems to be falling apart at the seams. When we arrived we felt like we were in a ghost town. We got front row parking (should have been our first clue) and there was NO ONE there. The bakery, shop, and apple washing barn were closed with a sad notice on it saying they had been shut down by the Department of Agriculture. After talking to a few employees it seems the owners (2-20 year old girls who live in California and appear to have ZERO interest in the place) don't care much about it and refused to fix the roof- thus creating a hazard. It was really sad! I am REALLY sad. I loved that place growing up....I have lots of memories of it. I am crossing my fingers that something will happen and it will be open next year- I want to be able to share those memories and create more memories with MY family.
Nonetheless- here are a few CUTE photos!
